At Rwamagana Leaders’ School, we value environmental stewardship, conservation and sustainability, and we want our students to both inherit and practice these values. While our students already maintain an environmentally friendly campus, we are creating an A‐Level academic program specifically focused on Environmental Studies. This new program will be the first of its kind in Rwanda, and will seek to prepare students for jobs in diverse fields—urban planning, sustainable development, wildlife conservation, waste management, population planning, environmental health, etc. Our mission is to encourage all students to think critically about environmental issues facing today’s society and to give them the tools and knowledge to solve them.
